Commercial Spots The Lake Abitibi Model Forest Television Commercial Project of 1998-99 greatly increased general awareness of the Model Forest Program and the LAMF, their function, and their activities. The commercials ran for 52 weeks on Mid-Canada Television (MCTV). Building on this success, a follow up series of commercial spots was implemented for 1999-2000. These modified commercial spots took a different approach and were promoted as Public Service Announcements, an inexpensive opportunity offered by broadcast firms to non-profit and charitable organizations. The Lake Abitibi Model Forest made use of the Fundy Model Forest television commericial spots, produced by DreamRibbon Inc., by modifying the spots for use in the Lake Abitibi Model Forest region. Once adapted to be consistent with Lake Abitibi Model Forest projects, the spots were sent to local and regional television stations for broadcast in "filler" time-slots. Once again the exposure on television through these commercial spots successfully promoted and raised the level of awareness of the Lake Abitibi Model Forest and its activities to a broad audience. Partners for this project included the Fundy Model Forest, DreamRibbon Inc., MCTV, and Lake Abitibi Model Forest members.
